Alright, so the big con is over. And I do mean the word with bothdefinitions. It’s over, we survived, and yes, it was a mad-dash 30hr round trip experience. Somehow in the middle of all that, we found time to sleep for a few hr’s, I think 3 or 4 combined.

Made sure to catch and say hi to everyone I was hoping to. Even gave Eric Powell a copy of The Cemeterians as a very blundering-stutter-y way of saying thank you for 10yr’s of The Goon, and for signing a copy. Not my best effort by far. I think it came out as a combination of awkward silence, stuttering, mumbling and shoving a copy in his hands and then turning on my heel to run away. Shit, I’m such a fan-girl sometimes.

I’m sure I’m going to forget some people, so if I do, I’m realy sorry, but big thanks to everyone who did stop and say hi (mostly away from the signing, which was bloody-fucking dead. All week apparently, so it wasn’t just me) either on the show floor or out on the streets and in the bars after.

I know I totally flaked on NR, and a lot of other last minute stuff because we were running around up to the very end trying to make possible our little trip to SDCC. Remember kids, this was originally a regular fully planned and less stressed SDCC which was then completely shot to hell because of our Landlords’ stupidity and inability to not only handle their finances, stick to contracts and agreements that they’ve signed or even act like responsible adults. Somehow through all of that misfortune, we were able to squeak in for one very expensive 24hr+ period of SDCC networking, schmoozing, booze, good company, losing my car, hefting luggage, drinking-eating-making-merry and stuff.

Bought very little. I completely missed finding Mishka stuff or staff/crew. Missed finding Chuck BB. Missed every possible panel. Missed the Boosh live show (by about 20 min). Missed Nerd Prom (day before). Missed sleep. Most of all, missed my boy who was luckily safe & sound when we returned.

Took the little man to the beach yesterday. Not his first time at the beach, but his first time in the sand and the waves. Salem fuckin’ dug it. Makes me very, very happy.

Back to work, slavery, and prepping for the move to Pasadena this Saturday (new house, better Salem-proof-layout).

We’re making steady progress, and we’re in the home stretch. The support has been phenominal, thank you to everyone who’s been posting, RT’ing, reposting, spreading the word, spreading the banner and the link, or simply showing their support on the Bleeding Cool comments and Forums. We’re not there yet, but hot damn, are we a lot, lot closer. We only have until later thos evening (PST) to wrap this, so thank you again to everyone who’s been helping us on this! You guys rock! Just a bit more, we are so close, I can taste it!
